Servicing Dilema

...My car is currently on 10,600 miles.....service due at 12k as we all know....we are going to Scotland (Oban) in June which is over 1k round trip from Bristol......so, would you first service before going or service with a few miles over the service due?

Given the temptations offered by the Scottish roads I'd be inclined to service before.

It depends how far over it will be on your return and when is most convenient. If you will only be on 12.2k when you return then I don't see it as a big deal.

The mileage is only a guideline, if you go over a bit it won't make any difference. Personally I'd just do it when I got back...

do it early that way its been checked over and is in tip top condition for the trip :thumbup:

early. did mine at 9000 when mine was new because i went to scotland for 3 wks came back with 13000 on the clock
