Last few drives in my car I've started to have that feel of my car feeling like I'm forcing it to go faster when on the accelerator starts about 50mph just feels like it's holding back and doesn't want to push on just feels odd Has anyone experienced this and any ideas ?

Is it intermittent? Sometimes the car goes like a rocket and sometimes it feels like it's restricting itself? Mine did that and turned out to be a cam sensor, however I've heard several things similar with completely different repairs required. If you're in the South East, take it to Andy at Engine Dynamics!

Yeah for example other day it was quite pokey and normal !! And today just felt like it was holding back !! But yeah like you said one day okay and another day just terrible. I'm from Shrewsbury but seem to be miles away from the people who no what they are doing as in knowledge of the cars. Thanks for the reply

I was chating with Andy at ED when mine was being remapped and he said it was one of the most common issues he finds. My understanding is the sensor is on a magnet which deteriorates over time.

Just an update .. changed cam sensor .. stilll having the issue I've had it on the diagnostic shows no sign of fault what so ever !! Looking threw the car history it's been a fair while since the spark plugs have been changed !!! Will putting new plugs in maybe the problem ?? And is NGK laser platinum okay to use ??

New plugs helped my car once when it was underperforming. Well worth a try.

Fitted new spark plugs and bcm air filter I'd say it's a hell of a lot better but judging by spark plugs its running a bit rich and my right foot isn't heavy but fuel recently hasn't been economically, I may be over thinking problems I may have but we all know when are beloved motor isn't running smooth as like the day before.!

Might need a run on a dyno to get it spot on. Not cheap but at least it will get it sorted. Whereabouts you based

Yeah I think that may have to be a good route to go down and see what happens just would like to see what's going on but I'm from Shrewsbury preferably would prefer someone who has knowledge of the car just for the fact of knowledge on how they run.. my car always run on the third line when warmed up tempeture, I always find the engine runs quite hot even doing a 15 mile journey and then unlaching bonnet. Since I have had the car I have....
Put new left right lower ball joints
    Left and right suspension springs
    New cambelt etc
    New rear pads and discs
    New cross member
    New map sensor
    New spark plugs

OH and many hundreds worth of fuel in it

Only thing left is alloy refurb !!!!

Brought the car on 62k and now it is on 73k miles
Probably will sell it around 86k miles for the fact of making use of money on new parts etc ..

My problems are over after new spark plugs , cleaned out the throttle body etc ! Good once over maintenance wise it's back to it self !! Did a 250 mile round trip threw valleys of Wales and was great fun accept them really really sketchy bendy wear you could end up in someone's front room haha !!! Thanks for all replies :thumb:.
