Rear Seat Bar

Hi all,

Don't know if I'm being a pleb, but I can't seem to find a guide to remove the rear seat bar. It just looks like there's something attached to it, like a little black box? Don't want to snap anything.

Anyone be a gent/lady and point me in the right direction?

It's the rear detection module for the keyless.

iirc is the ISOFIX bar comes out with a few bolts only - but if you search for ISOFIX bar you should get some decent enough search hits.

i placed the black box inside the seat upholstery. the zip for the seat cover is right there. made no difference to the range

Remove the black box and tywrap it back to the harness on the passenger side

ISOFIX is 4 bolts (torx head from memory).

Awesome. Thanks all.

I was wondering what the heck it was! Was worried about removing the bar. I've left the bar in for about a year because of it lol!

Is there much of a weight saving? What does the isofix bar weigh?

Not much at all, it's fairly lightweight. It's better to remove it so you have an entire boot rather than a random bar in the middle of the car doing next to nothing.

Stripping the rear out saved me 24kg with all the plastics also.
