How is this fitted? I thought it would just be the sticky pads but it feels quite heavily stuck on.

Mine was sticky pads but only because i asked for no screws. Best bet is to run some floss down the back in a sawing motion.

Good move. my megane was screwed and they screwed right the way through to the other side, into the boot lining

Where will the screw be? Do I need to take diffuser off?

No you will be able to see them going through the plate. If you have no screw caps or holes in the plate then get some tooth floss and try cut the sticky pads away.

Ok cool, that's sorted. Next what's best to get for putting my new pressed metal plates on?

Sticky pads again. I changed mine yesterday and just used 2 pieces about 2 inches long at each end.
