Quick warranty question

Been told my 197 may need a new fuel pump, does anyone know if it would be covered under manufacturers warranty? Cars in it's final year of warranty btw

Any help much appreciated

fuel pump was damaged by being too rough taking the exhaust off. not because its faulty

Hmm best not use that as an excuse to get money off then?
