No clock or radio display in heat, plus advice on garages

Does anybody else have a problem with the clock and radio display in the heat. ie it disappears. Any fixes? Also need some work doing on my car and I was thinking of taking it to rs four ashes near Wolverhampton. Don't know how they rate on here. Thanks in advance.

This thread was a recent one on the same subject, but as you'll see there wasn't really a solution to it, other than replacing the unit, and that it was an age-related thing. There are some older threads as well, but none of them offer a fix either. Apparently whacking the dashboard brings it back to life... :bash:

Garage-wise, I've heard good things about Midlands Renault Specialists, which could be an option for you? They're on Facebook.

Thanks mate, missed that thread on my search. I can only find used ones online so I'll have to gamble with one of those. Midlands rs look good. They might be a bit far for me. I just don't want to take the clio back to my usual garage who I've used for all my previous cars as I he charged me a fortune last time to replace the lower ball joint and weld a split on the centre silencer (£900!!). So I really need a specialist that knows how to work on these cars. Thanks for the info.
