Hello and welcome. Nice car and mods.

Can you please explain what the raised diffusor does and what you've done to raise it?

The R3 rims are Speedline 2120 Turinis?

Possibly means the small spoiler. Lost in translation?

Ty for your welcome guys :uk:

On the Clios, the diffuser is lower than the rear axle of the vehicle. In the photos it is quite clear.
The objective was mainly aesthetic, while limiting the umbrella effect.

Just cut and then resolder the supports close to the rear axle.

Yes, collected from a R3 Max race car

Thank you for the explaination and pics. I've never heard of an umbrella effect in that regard. Does this cost topspeed or does it negatively impact the generated downforce by the diffusor?

No idea of the effects, it would require measuring devices that I do not have.
For the downforce, I fear that the effect of the diffuser is anecdotal. It would take a full flat bottom for a real effect.

I’d like to see data, that’s nothing more than a picture with coloured arrows. Marketing, if you will.

Take the diffusor off next time you go on track and see if it makes a difference? :sunglasses:

@bozian: Any input on that, Max?

/edit: From the brochure for the Sport Auto Edition:

eykhvpF.jpg

"Diffuser at the rear of the vehicle: As in Formula 1 use, the diffuser creates a vacuum under the vehicle floor that literally sucks the vehicle onto the road. This creates an additional downforce of around 40 kg on the rear axle." (Google translate)

the 40KG downforce as my memory serves me correctly occurs at 130Kph but this obviously increases if you go faster - I dd see a review where Renault suggest 70KG at around 180kph. Nice Car by the way.
