My GW 200 Cup

Its been about 2 and a half weeks since getting my new car. Came about when my friends started planning this years Nurburgring trip and when I started adding up what I wanted for my Car I thought why not just add the 3 from Renault and save the hassle!

I've always had a thing for French hatchbacks:
First car I got when I was 18 was a VTR
Few weeks into having it:

How it ended up:

Now my First Renault Sport was a Black 197

Loved that car and although it was enough for me I had "slimmed" down considerably that recaros were now an option for me.

So I started to have a look about and came to the conclusion the Cup was more suited to what I wanted and getting a Cup meant I could go for a 4+ scheme car with less miles.

Few Pictures from my birthday wash using all my new goodies:

Have to say I like the 200's extra touches:

So the main reason for buying this particular car was this:

Bought on 1800 miles:

Go Hardcore or Go Home:

The advantage of having one before means I instantly had a few touches to add:

Now I had a spare sticker from last years trip and since the car was bought for this years trip in mind I decided the bad luck associated to sticking it on before hand was crap and stuck it on anyway minus the writing:

Before the Ring I Should be upgrading the Brake & Box Fluid with some Yellowstuff pads & If I have time making a lower seat frame and adding a harness and possibly some sticky rubber for my 197 cup wheels. Considering after two years of 197 ownership the only thing I wanted were seats and better suspension which I've ticked off dont expect many upgrades!

Bring on :german: 31/07/2013

Looks good, good luck lowering the original recaros, I looked in to it then ended up buying a corbeau pro series bucket seat instead.

the focus rs has the same recaros and they can be adjusted, think some of the ford lads even re-drill them to lower them further

very nice spec there - thats pretty much exactly what im looking for at the moment. if it had speedlines it would be spot on!

Just booked up Cadwell for tomorrow so lets see what the 197 to 200 differences are. Hopefully tell me if my Conti's & brakes will last Germany if not they will need renewed!

MikeLY is at Cadwell tomorrow in his supercharged beast..

It's been a while since I've been on here but I've just sold my Scirocco and bought my 3rd clio! This time its the best of both the drivers car and the nice car to be in:

Sorry for the bad photo's but the weathers been too crap to take proper ones.

Very nice .

No Recaros in this one, but has Speedlines... I guess we have to make sacrifices sometimes lol.

In all honesty I didn't want them, I'm 6'6 and they were too high the last time I had them, I get to drive this one like I want to but slouch in my car on the drive to work.

Ok, ok between us I do miss them  but glad I've gone without them this time.
