Mot due in warranty - use Renault?

As per title first mot due shortly. Would you mot at Renault in the hope of having anything rectified under warranty?

Normally I wouldn't go anywhere near a main dealer for anything.

I would take it to a specialist for a service/mot and then take it to them for work doing, but would do it 4 weeks prior to get a 13 month MOT and have time to get anything cured prior to warranty

How fast.... 15th December...... You coming?

I would also get it tested up to a month before to make sure you get it all fixed. you can take your car anywhere for the mot and if it needs things fixing you can take the failure to renault and they should sort you out.

Just seen the thread. Will have to wait a bit to see as might be away that weekend. If not I'd love another go (in the snow).

Not taking that wooden spoon though

I took my 200 to a main dealer a month early before the warranty ran out. It seems Renault put a lot of weight on customers having used their dealerships when it comes to warranty claims. I dont like it but IMO they have a lot less wriggle room if any servicing/work has been done by them, and there is a warranty issue. Hopefully you wont have a problem!

I've been thinking about this for my Mazda too, it's 3 years old in December. I was going to get the MOT done about a month before it's third birthday. I was going to use the Mazda dealer and say, if there's anything wrong with it, fix it while you're there!

Although I'm not really looking forward to it being out of warranty with all the things I've had to have done to it, so I'm debating an extended warranty, but need to get some prices.
