Meg 225 engine in Clio????

I know its proberly been discussed to death but why don't people seeking more power just drop the Meg 225 Engine in the Clio. Seems to share a lot of the parts and if the gearbox fits, you've also got a LSD. Seems to make sense. Now I'm not under any illusion that its easy but the engines aren't that different. I've googled it and there only appears to be one car with this conversion.
I was thinking whilst I'm in no hurry to have my car back on the road. And as the front of the car is almost missing, would be a great time to do something different with it.

Dropping it in is the easy part, what about a new wiring loom and ecu?? As the Clio ecu can't run positive pressure,

The ECU is sirius 34, same as 197. I have it on good authority a whole ecu dump from meg to clio ecu is possible.
This would provide correct coding for above atomspheric manifold pressure.

I was lead to believe the gearbox from a Meg wouldn't bolt straight in as it's longer than the clio's, probably talking out my back side though lol

engine changing is a massive leap. something that cant be taken light heartedly. i was too pussy to do this so went for the pussy option lol

go for it, anything can be made to fit with enough cash. (important point)

plus its something different, thats whats it all about IMO

where abouts are you located?

the feeling of the boost kicking in . . . . . . whoosh ure gone. lol

stage 1 will be completed by 1st November : brakes front and back, new master cylinder, cage painted and fitted, wheels painted and fitted and the car will be back running.

stage 2 requires the payment upfront so he can get the charger fitted, cooler fitted, ECU programmed, and then it all mapped on the rollers to make it work in harmony. hes saying this could be the new year as he's wanting to do his escort aswell.

the guy is a ****ing wizard and I was saying to F1team earlier i know when it rolls out of the workshop it will have .1% chance of a fault thats y he wants top money cus hes a top guy.
