Matt paint

So much rubbish talked about the up keep of this kind of paint,i thought I would share my dealings with you all on my stealth grey raider. The car came with a bag in the boot of ph neutral shampoo,insect/bird remover and a sponge. There was also a small card with do"s/don"ts(don"t use jetwash, wash in sunlight or rub to hard).I soon got the bug to see if there was any specialist products on the market, there were but all were quite expensive.Tried "ask the expert" on the autoglym website and they said there very own bodywork shampoo(ph neutral) was fine and to finish it off use there extra gloss protection as a sealant. This all worked well but still thought I could do better so I went onto the bear wax factory website and ended up with dr.beaslys matt paint kit for£145(ouch!).I can only say you get what you pay for with this product .The results were very good as were bear wax factory(for all your detailing products-great service). So the moral of this story is don"t be put off by scare stories on the internet(the car was hit by a courier lorry while in our staff car park and needed a new front bumper-£1000 bill to them)but the repair was not hard to match by the excellent harwoods in Croydon.

I'd recommend the Swissvax Opaque range over anything else.

Wouldn't bother with EGP because there's a possibility of adding shine.

Looks nice i must say, but I couldnt be dealing with the up keep on matt paint, its is crying out for a polish........

The up keep is less than a gloss car, no swirls to worry about etc, just keep it waxed and it's so easy to keep clean, the worst part about mine Is the gloss black roof lol
