Makeing an induction kit

I'm looking at making an induction kit for my PH1 172, what I want to know is will I see any benefit from using a 80/90mm neck on the filter then using a reducer to the 70mm to mate back up with the TB Or will it just be as good using 70mm pipe all the way?

They really don't respond well to induction kits. Standard is the way forward.

It'll just be a replica of the Ktec one

If you can keep the diameter the same as the throttle body once you've necked it down from the filter, keep number of bends to a minimum and put the filter intake position in the coldest place available, a couple of feet of induction length filter to TB will help give a good spread of torque.
