Lumps

Well not having a good day.
Got a lump somewhere I don't want one.
Got a scan booked, bit scared I admit.
Doc said priority scan due to age and place of lump. had lumps before but only hernias. def isn't one of them !

Blimey, sorry to hear this Steve. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious...do let us know how everything goes.

Steve, often these things are more of a worry than they are serious. Try and keep your feet on the ground for now. It still might be nothing, and if it's not, there's still a chance it's sortable.

Good thing is that it's a priority job so at least things will move quickly. When I've had (possibly) similar issues, I've spent ages doing my own head in about it while I'm waiting.

Everything crossed for a simple and stress-free outcome.

That's not a good day Steve. Scan should reveal all. Hopefully nothing to worry about

I've had a few off days since pre-Christmas. Various tests etc inc blood-tests done by my doc / NHS.....and all highlight nothing.

I'm about to book and pay for a serious health check that BUPA offer.

Good luck buddy.

Most of the time it is nothing to worry about. A friend of mine has been to the doctors a few times with similar problems, and it has just been an ingrowing hair.

Its good that you have got yourself booked in though, so best of luck mate - fingers crossed for you!

Very sorry to hear that Steve. I went through an awful time a few years back when the specialists were absolutely convinced from all the tests and scans and biopsies I had lymphoma. They were all wrong and I'm fine. Any sniff of seriousness and the NHS are bloody great though and do all sorts of tests that may seem a bit OTT in hindsight to be sure you're ok. You never know at this time of year as there's lots of bugs going around that can trigger your immune system to make certain bumps appear (glands are all round your body). Fingers, toes etc crossed for you mate.

Fingers crossed for you mate. In April 2015 I had a 4cm-diameter tumor removed followed by a round of chemo as a preventative measure. Get my bloods done and an x-ray every 3 months and CT scan every year. 18 months on and touch wood still all clear. With modern medicine the chances of it returning are less than 3% so try not to worry too much.

Bollox being the operative word...

I've had a lump since my late teens. Never grown nor hurt much(unless banged)

Good luck tomorrow
