Keycard Issue

Read numerous threads on this and my issue sounds similar but I want to be sure before going to Renault.

Recently my keycard has not been working but only when I try and open in it in the morning so I have to wait until it does, it then asks me to insert card once it does open, is there a slot on a 200? Eventually it works after waiting.

The car is a 62 plate 200 so is it likely that the battery in the card is flat on a newish car?

try changing the battery, and see if makes a difference

In the same pocket as my wallet, not near my phone. Still does it when the card is out of my pocket and in my hand.

for the sake of a couple of quid i would try the battery first

same place as a 197.....
