iPhone5 Bluetooth connection?

Bought a new phone and having issues connecting to the Renault Bluetooth?

Anybody got got simple step by step instructions to be able to connect hands free?

cheers Hughsie

Turn bluetooth on iphone, search with the radio and use the pass code iirc

I have done that...I can get the phone to pair up with the car but I cant get it to access the phones contact details???

If I remember I had to send the contacts from the phone to the cars memory or something???

Cheers

you do it from the headunit/hand controls. Not done it in a long time but it was quite strait forward iirc.

I'm going out soon so i'll see if i can remember whilst playing with the controls.

I'm in the meg but should be the same or very similar.

Using hand controls go to the phone section

Select where you want to import it from by scrolling and then going right.

Then go right on it and follow the prompts on which one you want to import

Mate I will try but don't seem to remember the 197 having anything like that on it???

I will give it a go and let you know how I get on.

MentalPen is spot on, it's the same process on the 200 too.

Just a heads up though, I've had a similar problem with my Sony Xperia. It'll connect, take/make calls and playback music but has no phonebook access, apparently there's a conflict between some of the newer phones Bluetooth profiles and the firmware on Bluetooth unit in the car. Having said that, you might have better luck, or different a Bluetooth version on iPhone to Android!
