PIC HEAVY THREAD - Also, Long post warning

Seeing as I'm bound to be taking a fair few photos of my car, I thought I'd start up a progress style thread.

Well whether you want it or not here is a bit of background.

At 17 I passed my driving test and was allowed the pleasure of driving my parents second car!

Drove that for 18 months until I went uni to study marine engineering, went away to sea after my first year of uni for 3 months then when I came back decided to treat myself to this.

It was a bit of a tourer rather than an out and out sports bike but it was brilliant fun. I added panniers and went touring a few times on it until late 2010 when this happened.

I finished all my exams at uni and got my MCA license in December 2010, went away to sea came back in May and bought the Saxo from above that was at the time owned by my sister. It was in a complete state.

I drove it into the ground and got a new job with a different company, scrapped the car, then went away to sea again.

Came back from sea on Christmas eve 2011, bought my 200 on the 27th

Some of these pics have already been in my other threads but I'll consolidate anyhow and add more when I go to more places do more things with it. I'd love to go on the Nurburgring trip on here but I'll be away at sea so I'm planning to go with a few friends in September.

I'll add to the thread as and when. So far I've done 1700 great miles all for fun in five weeks, suppose I better make the best of it before I go away again!

Thanks for your patience, if you bothered to read any of it

Love Red 200's they match perfect to the black front and back. Just look so lush!!

I would put black speedlines on it though

Believe it or not I only washed it today, that's still the same wax from a few weeks back.

Last time I used.

  1. Meguiars Gold Wash
  2. Meguiars Water Magnet to dry
  3. Bilt-Hamber Autoclay (Soft) this is good because it uses water for lubrication not some special liquid
  4. Autoglym High Def Cleanser to remove the last of anything
  5. Autoglym High Def Wax, Single coat but applied generously and left to cure for 30 mins, then re-buff after 2 hours

That took me near enough 6 hours to do the lot, I use microfibre sponges to wash it, Detailing brushes for the fiddly bits. I think that's about it.

This time I just washed with the meguiars gold and then dried it.

Any questions feel free, I haven't proofread so it may make no sense!

Also Thanks for the compliments

Forgot to add that the car is just shy of 2500 miles now!
