Help - WiFi music sharing

Hi All,

Wondered whether anyone can help?

Basically at home I have a Desktop PC, Netbook, Galaxy Nexus (Android) and the girlfriend has an iPhone 4s.

All our music is on the desktop but I was wondering whether there is a way to share the music between all the above devices using WiFi?

Basically the PC runs through the TV - when the girlfriend is watching TV id like to be able to listen to music through my phone/netbook without using all its storage and actually copying the tracks to it.

Is this possible?

Thanks
James

You should be able to achieve this with an app on any mobile device that plays SMB streams (samba) or music from UPNP devices (windows media sharing)

What is your pc running?

The PC is running Windows 7 Ultimate and the netbook Windows 7 Starter (or whatever its called)

Thanks for the reply.

The netbook can do it very straight forward if you install VLC and then browse your main pc network shares
