Going from 215'S to 225's on my cup

if you track your car you may see a very slight diff gripwise..i went from 215's to 225's and didnt notice a big diff tbh..

It's mainly going to be a track car, I suppose as long as it isn't going to cause and adverse affect then ill give it a try.
 
I think if you look at the genuine cup racers they actually run skinnier tyres.. they actually have slightly stretched tyres.. I'm assuming its because there's less flex in the sidewalls.
 
I think that is why [MENTION=52006]Stubonez[/MENTION] but then again couldn't you run a bigger tyre at a higher PSI to have the same effect?
 
Was wondering this myself! The 225/45/17 is a fair bit cheaper than 215/45/17

wouksnod thought the wider tyres would of aided the grip and stopping levels
