Fitzys DB 197 track/weekend toy

So when the runners came away from the flange on my manifold I had a PO300 (which was multi-cylinder missfire or words of similar description).

It's quite a generic code, just saying "there isn't just 1 missfire...but loads" so it isn't the most useful code unfortunately!
Thanks Suj,

When your runners came away could you hear a blow from the manifold area? I have no blow and I can't see anything obvious from up top.

Will definitely be changing it out though

I looked multiple times and I couldn't see them leaking, I could hear a leak (and I assumed it was the Flexis) but when it was taken off there was soot all at the bottom part, so I think it was being levered upwards so that's why I couldn't see the soot at the top.

People on this forum have had PO300 for so many things, coilpacks, sparks, water in sparkplug holes etc, as it's quite a generic code so not helpful at all.

I did change my lambdas with the manifold, so it could have been them too (even though I did monitor the voltage and didn't see anything that looked wrong).

Changed the oil today, ran some engine flush through also just incase the where any build ups of sludge.

Cleaned the cranksensor while there, didn't look dirty or damaged bit cleaned it anyway

I took the throttle body off too give it a clean, there was a bit of a build up but nothing excessive

Gave it a good clean and stuck it back on.

Took the car for a spin and at first it was magic, problems cleared or so I thought, it pulled well and seemed to pick up a little quicker, just as was about to turn around the part throttle misfire returned ( engine was good and hot by this stage). Stopped to turn and the engine stalled. Took a couple of turns to start too.

Drove home and again sometimes it ran fine sometimes it misfires ( seems to be more on part throttle).

I did notice a very slight wut with noise from the drivers side of the engine bay, from listening to other videos it could be the dephaser making that noise?

I need to try log the timing on the Torque app and see what its doing, anyone here know what sort of timing ranges to expect on these?

Only the useless p0300 code showing again

I had the same symptoms and the same error code when my dephaser pulley went bad. Also my car was running rough and misfiring on all cylinders.
