Exhaust fitting - Return to OEM?

Hi all, just wondering the difficulties of installing an aftermarket system ( scorpion / milltek )

Im pretty sure iv read up you need to cut the system after the cat, but does anyone know if this would seriously hamper going back to an OEM system? will it be possible to just slot the OME system back together or would I need to buy a new OEM system that includes the cat and fit it from there?

The exhaust system has, essentially 3 bits, the manifold/pre cat then there is a join to the main cat then another join to the rest of the system, a cat back system attaches to the main cat using the original clamp. I've attached a photo of the cat, at the end it is flared, the beginning of the aftermarket system will be too and the original clamp goes over the flares to hold them together

Iv read on severally sites that the systems require you to cut yours standard exhaust after the cat though?

I cut mine, just make sure it's cut on a straight section then it can be easily sleeved.

OEM systems need to be cut as they are 1 piece from the cat to backbox, without a cut you would never remove it. As Ian said, cut it on a straight section and then if you ever need to refit it can be sleeve easily.
