Exhaust Blowing - Advice

Found a small blow from the flexi pipes on the manifold of my 197.

Anyone else experience the same problem?

If so advice on to go for a new manifold or new flexi?

Any help or diagrams would be appreciated.

Sound isn't that bad only between 3-4k rpm - but is getting worse.

big job either way to be honest - subframe dropping job....

if i was going to that much trouble i would be tempted to fit a new manifold and then get the old one repaired and then sell it to recoup some costs

got mine being sent from james at jms tunning. should be with me on wed, mine is blowing on the flexi and it gets worse if u boot it up on a daily basis.lol its ment to be a right contract of a job, al find out next week, dredding it.

I've had a failed manifold.
Both flexi joints had gone and it was cracked on 2 and 3.

Price from Renault was 1200 quid. I called Renault UK and they covered some cost so I paid 400 sheets.


It's a big job replacing the manifold so I'd contact RUK and see what they say.

Thanks. . anyway I can replace the broken flexi pipes? patch it up?

not got a clue mate, you wil need to get the manifold off and take it to custome exhaust place. it shouldnt cost that much to get it repaired, just abit of a mare getting the manifold off.

Anyone know how much they are to replace without labour?

Beginning to wish I had mine done when the new engine went in! Hopefully will be ok!
