service books on a 250 are in with the owners handbook you now cant buy duplicate service books from renault!

I have the same mate, the book for a 2! It's all above board, but as @Matt W said, they were probably supplied with our cars when new.

That's so random! So the service book doesn't even give you the correct info for the servicing you need to be carried out?! Anyone know any way of getting hold of a 197 service book? I havn't even seen one and i've been looking online for ages even just for a picture.

Thankfully there's plenty of information online (i.e. on here) to be able to help with servicing intervals etc, but it is a bit offside of Renault to give out old books...
