Correction Detail - RenaultSport Megane 250 Cup in Oyster Grey

Today saw me return to Birmingham to give this stunning Megane 250 (which I'd done previously in 2010), some love after winter.

It's probably one of the heaviest modified 250's out there right now, with Eibach's, FMIC, Remap, Decat and Milltek amongst other mods on it already.

Right then, a few befores:

First up, the wheels and arches:

- Wheels cleaned with AS Smart Wheels and various brushes
- Tyres cleaned with AS G101 and brushes
- Arches cleaned with AS G101

Next up, the car was rinsed with my pressure washer, then hand washed with Megs Hyper Wash and a lambswool wash mitt:

I clayed the car next, but there were surprisingly few contaminants in the paintwork:

Unfortunately I was struggling the capture the defects with my camera and the indoor lighting. The whole car was covered in light swirling, which was all dealt with via 3M Extra Fine Compound and 3M Yellow Polishing Pads, via Rotary.

I finished up with:

- GTechniq C2 Sealant on the paintwork and wheels
- Poorboys Bold N Bright on the tyres
- 3M Glass Cleaner and Dodo Mint Merkin
- Carlack 68 NSC on shuts, sills and exhaust

Thanks for reading!

Cheers,

Russ.

lovely work although I cant seem to get my head round it.. looks like a body kit :worried:

good job mate which wheel brush do you use?

^ it is a bodykit lol

Great work as usual Russ, Oyster grey is definitely what I'd have for a 250. Didn't this same bloke have a white one before?

I really want one of these, and actually the other half does too. Still not convinced on those wheels though, is there another option?

I think the 19s on this one are an option, the standard ones are similar to the standard clio 200 wheels... but 18s...

Thanks folks.

It's about 340bhp I believe - very impressive noise and power.

250 is my next car. Took one out today and loved it!

I'm with you on this too. Like the rest of the car though, really starting to appeal now.

As I said on Facebook - I want! That was a great detail and you certainly brought out the most in it!

I'm still not a fan of those stick on arches though!

Same here. I think if there werent so many lines and joints then i would love the look of the Megane alot more but unfortunately in its current "stick on" aftermarket appearence i just cant take it seriously :tongueout:inky:
