Colder Spark Plugs?

I used NGK BR8ES because I was running Nos so needed to run a colder plug, they worked perfectly fine and as a bonus were just 10% of the price of the OEM ones.
 
why change them on a standard engine?

they will cover a range of temperaures anyway so unless theres big changes i wouldnt bother...
 
I've actually used 197 plugs in tuned 172s and 182s becuase they are a grade colder, and cheaper. they're a pretty ideal plug for the F4R 830, and same plug as the meg 225. Plenty of headroom before you need to go colder IMO
