Clio work

Hi guys, i'm forecasting my future work needed for my 200. I just wondered does anyone know of a good renaultsport specialist or even normal renault specialist around the Burnley (lancs) area?

I'm thinking as my car is approaching 36k in a few months i'll need to do the spark plugs soon and i've seen the posts about people getting the parts off Karl cheaper here but can't see a main dealier being too happy with me doing that and then asking them to fit.

Also does the service book get a stamp for this change?

Cheers!

In Burnley there is Kitchens Renault, Trafalgar Street 01282 433 311
There is another one in Blackburn but ive never been to it so dont know where it is, i think the Blackburn one is a R/Sport dealer. Im going to check the Blackburn one out when i get chance because if it is a RS dealer its nearer for me as i use the RS dealer in Warrington at the moment.

I've used kitchens in the past and like them. Just wondered about whether they would ok in fitting parts i buy.

Above i mentioned i was looking at spark plug change at 36k as i read on here for a 197 - checked my service book and it doesn't seem to really mention the spark plug change on the 200. Can anyone confirm... bit confused now

Usually the spark plugs are the long life ones which are good for at least 5 years.
I had mine changed on my 182 after 5 years (70+ K miles) and they still looked like new.

As for Kitchens fitting your parts while they service it id ask them, but i think they are still going to charge you over the top for the labour so it may work out same sort of price.

plug change interval on a 197/200 is 36k. Age makes no odds.

182's kill plugs a lot faster than the change interval of 72k, which is part of the reason so many of them run so rough.

You dont have to use a main dealer, you can go anywhere as long as genuine parts are used and appropriate checks are done. I wont use supplied parts, but I'm WAY cheaper than Renault anyway
