AKS in Yeovil have a Raider up for grabs in Matte Red......I really like the look of them, and think that the extra bits and bobs finish off the 200 just right......so I am thinking about changing back to a 200 (Raider) from my 250.....there are the obvious advantages of handling, but I will loose the umpf of the 250.....which I think I can live with.....what do people on here think about such a move?

I know these cars have Leather Recaro's etc......did they benefit from Xenon, or just the cornering/projector headlamps....
 
Just keep in mind that while looking great that matt paint is a total nightmare to live with.
 
I wouldn't see the point of waxing it. Isn't it rough? And it's not going to shine anyway.

You need to be very careful washing it also, specialist waxes. If it's going to be a high mileage use car I wouldn't go Matte paint.
 
do it for the blast but not for the day to day trudge, meg is sooooo much easier to live with.

you couldn't be more wrong, easier to live with than gloss, no swirls, no water marks etc

the wax is used to protect it, to make cleaning easier, it has a satin feel to the paint


this is the wax and shampoo i use, in conjunction with a wash mitt,

the wax is fairly dear but the pot goes a very long way and so does the shampoo

a video of the wax holding up after 600 miles

I have come back from a 265 Trophy, to a 200, I prefer the Clio for its size and it's ease of driving quick, it is so much easier to judge than the Megane. Do I miss the grunt, yes for passing stuff, but not for the overall driving experience, the Clio still goes very well, it's just when you see a gap, I now go I'll wait for a bigger one, but I was running 315 bhp. The Matt paint, love it or hate it, it's personal, I like it.
 
Cheer for all the advise guys.....decided to hang onto the Meg for now. Not sure about the paint. The red looks like ultra violet fading!! Grey works much better!

Mine could be for sale in the next coming weeks. I need to make a decision to get rid as she isnt getting used enough due to work commitments
