So, you've bought a car for towing that you are going to make unsuitable for towing? odd.

Great car's though, what's it had done for the 290 brake (also, what is it V70, 850?)

Mapping was done last week - all I can say is wow! it's much quicker than I was expecting and is an absolute torque monster. the power comes in @2.5-3k and is there all the way to 6.5k. I've not had it on the rollers again yet, but am expecting it to be in the region of 290bhp and 340lb-ft of torque

Chucking camber on the rear will be fine for towing I'm not going silly amounts just a noticeable amount , and dropping it will be fine , I will only use it once a month or there abouts for towing , track days etc , so it isnt making it un useable and it's had a full de cat re map induction and a 16g turbo slapped on it , not sure about the injectors need to pop one out to see if they have been up graded , oh and a walbro fuel pump , and the v70 is yes basically a newer 850 so I'm led to believe , brakes seem fine with the power to , don't know what pads it's running or any other mods , will be chucking it on the rollers soon as it needs a health check and good once over standard there 250 the r v70 is 260 standard I'm fairly new to them myself so it's all s learning curve

So, mines been on the dyno again, it made 277hp & 325lb-ft. It's mainly the std airbox and exhaust that is holding it back now I believe.

However it's doing something a little bit odd, take a look at the torque line on the graph below, it peaks at just after 3k revs but drops off twice before hitting 4k. I think it's some boost relates problem. I'm tempted to swap the std boost controller as it's now running about twice the boost. I've also got a small boost leak that I need to fix.

With these issues fixed, and the exhaust/intake swapped out I should break the 300hp barrier and 350lb-ft

Morning all, quick update.

I've fixed the weird torque issue from the above graph, it was a boost leak. My last RR result was 281bhp and 348lb-ft, however it looks like the ECU backed the power off early (maybe temperature related? it was a very warm day). Peak should be aboub 5600 - 5700 RPM, but this run dropped off at about 5100. I'm not worried about that anyway as on the road it doesn't do it. 300+ lb-ft between 2200 & 4800 RPM is fun!

I've bought some new rims to go on, just trying to decide on tyres now. They are 18" instead of the original 17" and will have 225/40/18 tyres, not the crazy 205/50/17 that it currently has!

I also decided the std 300mm front brake setup was insufficient so have upgaded to the 320mm setup from a Focus ST

It's a much better setup!

That is all for now, the near future plans are get the wheels on, maybe lower by 20mm (factory sport springs) and possibly a SS exhaust and an ECU spacer.

Thanks for looking!

Not much to report on this right now, just a quick pic of how it looks right now.

ive had an issue with a pipe popping off under boost, so have changed a silicone hose for metal, which has fixed the issue. I've orders some bigger and better boost pipes too, just waiting for delivery from Sweden.

the upgraded boost pipes - these will replace all the OE stuff, 3" intake and 2.5" boost pipes.

ive also removed the ECU from the airbox and relocated it. I've blocked the hole and am happy to report a definate increase in throttle response and a slight increase in intake noise. All that's left is the exhaust and I should have cracked 300bhp and 370lb-ft

Hah damned boost pipes, tell me about it

Still kinda jealous believe it or not! Bit of a special place for volvos here.
