Clio 197 - Project Stealth

I've owned my Clio 197 for over 5 years. I've always been interested in car detailing and have always looked after the car as best as I could.

October 2013 I decided to take it off the road over winter and perform some maintenance aswell as adding some cosmetic improvements.

Below is a list of the main previous modifications I've added to the car, during my ownership.

• Gloss Black Wheel Refurb.
• KW V1 Inox Coilovers.
• Full Leather Recaro Interior.
• Upgrade to Projector Headlights.

Brembo Caliper Refurb

I wanted to refurb my calipers both mechanicallly and cosmetically.
Before photo of a front brembo caliper below.



Cleaned them all up and sanded them back ready for professional painting.

After professional painting and new Brembo decals fitted.


New seals, brake pads and pins were then fitted.





Custom Side Door Bullets & Black Renault Diamonds Front/Rear.

Airbrushed door side bullets and gloss black Renault diamonds.


Retrimmed Leather/Alcantara Steering Wheel

Black leather and alacantara with yellow band/stitching.



Powdercoated inlet manifold with real Carbon fibre RenaultSport badge



Going to clean her at the weekend, and go get some finished photos, preview for now. . .

Top work mate!

Your calipers + steering wheel look immense!!
How did you do the steering wheel mate? + What costs were involved?

You got any pictures of the complete car now these parts have been modified? Would be good to see a before + after comparison.

Here are some photo's of the car, with all the parts fitted.

Calipers were completely stripped down, all new seals and replaced any damaged pistons.

Brake caliper seal kits are about £30 each. I have a friend who owns a bodyshop so the calipers were done as a favour.

That is a fanatstic looking clio! Love the yellow accents on the black, been meaning to get my brakes painted/powder coated, but yours are just brilliant!

Gotta love a good black Clio stealth project. Saw the photos on Facebook, finally got my wheels done black and fitted Saturday :thumbsup:
Are you going yellow accents to match the Brembos? Those bullets are awesome, who did you get the from?

Steering wheel looks very similar, if not identical to mine bar colouring. Was it done by Royal Steering Wheels or done with the seats? Top bloke if it was.
