What are they made of? Just plastic or are they metal?

I'm going to take a proper look later today, but mine appear tarnished. If they're metal i'll just polish them up, however if they are plastic what do you suggest?

So a sand down and respray might be the best option? Guess it depends how badly they're damaged...

New ones are too expensive for what they are. I'm not sure I can respray in chrome though can I?

My wheels are being repainted in a couple of weeks, but it wont include the center caps. I've going to spray them myself, however it's the chrome diamonds that will let them down.

Yes, as said plastic and if you push from behind cap just pop off the centre cap so can be sprayed easily.

I think fernandez should make these in carbon.
