Brake Pads - Carbotech XP8's

I bought these pads recently through www.partsmeister.net

I thought I'd offer my two pennies worth as I'm not aware of many people using them. Ferodo DS2500 seem to be more popular.

They work fine on the road and were seemingly fade proof on a recent track day at Oulton Park. I was running an otherwise standard Clio 200 Cup, standard tyres etc with 5.1 brake fluid. I ran extended 45 minute stints mostly in the dry. The XP8's seem to give good feel and allowed me to brake scarily late. Feel was also good in the wet.

Stopping power is both awesome and consistent.

Done.

A few 182 boys use these and report good things too. Personally if you want an aggressive pad I can't see why anyone would use anything but CLs.

I've heard good things about the CL's but I think the XP8's were cheaper. Not sure of the exact numbers for the CL's but the XP8's cost me £200 delivered.

I might buy CL's next time and see what the difference is.

Because the XP's are almost as powerful and both the pads and discs last much longer than the CL's!
They're superb pads, you can get them direct from carbotech europe themselves btw.
