Best way to get all this sand off our cars?

So, im presuming the majority of people are in the same boat as me, car covered in North Africas finest sand.

I usually use the two bucket method on my black 200, I'm not overly into detailing but I definitely dont want to start on the car without asking some people in the know.

I would imagine the two bucket is still going to have grains sitting in the mitt so could anyone recommend the safest way to get the sand off? Obviously I could rinse it off but im still worried about doing some damage, especially with it being black so all advice is warmly welcomed!

Jet wash, snow foam or open hose. If your worried that rinsing it off will cause damage then what damage will be caused by actually driving it through the sand at 60mphh?

Jet washed mine. Apparently more to come tonight though...

Snow foam, pressure wash and then wash the car as usual. Thats what i'll be doing anyway.

Yeah but my worry was just rinsing it off would leave some marks? If the general consensus is to just rinse it then that's what I shall do.

Soft rinse with a hose pipe. Then jetwash/snowfoam.
