Was booting it next to a golf Gti on the motorway and I went from 4th to 5th as I stepped back on the throttle there was a loud bang and a differnt note from the engine so I pulled over and opened the bonnet and the air box top was sat on the top of the battery cover

I successfully managed to blow the top off my airbox lol hahaha

just thought I would share that

Have you had it off before too listen to the noise it makes ? Maybe it wasn't put back on properly.

yeh i think one of the clips wasnt clipped in properly but yeh it was at about 7500rpm in 4th going into 5th so i was really caining it, got to say though

I got caught out in the wrong gear with a Golf GTi MK5 not long ago and it drove off like I was standing still.

Lol, goo story. But I blew a golf gti away twice up the quarter and a few on twisties. As for the edition 30.. Erm that smoked me lol.
