Aza's Albi Blue 197 - Boosted 270 BHP & 301 lb-ft

A set of used V3's popped up for sale on the forum and I couldn't turn them down for the money! Plus one of my shocks has died and knocks all day long, so good excuse to get these :wink:.

I've also spent a lot of time and money on two offside drives shafts, as mine has been ticking away and about to give up the ghost.. I got one used and one new from Renault, both are the wrong kind even though they're for a 225 not R26!
I assume its a design change meaning they are non-tapered shafts on the end, which probably doesn't affect a 225 but in this conversion on the clio its slightly too fat to fit in the hub. So there's only one thing for it, take a grinder to it!!

Ahh I thought so! I'll be posting pics up shortly and the before and afters of grinding the drive shaft up lol.
Thanks, I love the new stance! It's also less bouncey than the shock n springs as well over these bumpy roads which is a bonus.

Car looks great and the 225 engine sits in there nicely! Renault should have sold these with that as an option!

Bar the wiring, its almost like they've thought about that engine going in there but changed their minds. Mechanically it just drops in, with some fiddling to fit the aicon rad and intercooler :smile:.

How much did you pay for your v3 install btw?
About 300 quid as I had some other bits done.

Finally got the drive shaft sorted and the KW V3's fitted! I had quite a barny over trying to source a 225 drive shaft, I bought one used thinking i'd save myself money it turned out to be wrong it was non tapered. So I had to buy a new on from renault, French luck it was the bloody same even after giving them my old 225 f1 reg (see pic above few posts back^). As mentioned above it looks like renault have changed the design slightly for some unknown reason, so we took a grinder to it!

I must say the ride is a lot less bouncy compared to the shock and spring, we've softened it up it be similar damping as springs with 2 degrees camber. It feels pretty good! Shame we discovered the swivel joint has gone on one side so i cant properly test them out yet :worried:.

Got home and took some better pictures of the new stance (ignore my gf photobombing lol).

First time using one, I think i could of gone a touch less on the mixture but it worked very well getting all the winter grime off.

She is a beasty indeed, cheers :wink:. Still working on the video mate, the mount needs a tweak to fit another brand of action cam (Needle filing it down by hand). Hopefully I'll get a chance on the weekend to play fingers crossed!
