Thats worrying reading!

But Freds explanation of RUK sounds spot on, which is why this is no doubt correct. Gearboxes? No problem. Wearing Recaros? No problem. And now Dodgy cambelt kits? No problem.

At least RUK are consistent... :glare:

Just had a call from the Dealership.

They have been speaking to the warranty company and they have agreed to replace the cam - belt kit. Only have to pay for the Aux belt kit which is fair.

Also going to replace the drivers side door locking handle.

So, hats of to the dealership in question.:thumbup:

Wont the dealer just incorrectly fit the new kit and you will be back to square one? According to Fred in that CS post he has to do something differently when fitting the kit to prevent the same problem.

Its a good point. But if they are still willing to do this under warranty id rather have a new belt and see how it goes..
