.....i started driving on the Queens highway.

17 years old, wet behind the ears; but little old me had a 950cc Fiesta babe magnet. For all the freedom it gave me - it might as well have been a Ferrari

And on day two of my driving life (Might have even been day 1) - i got a puncture.

Fast forward 28 years; and today i've just had my second ever puncture !

£16.80 it cost today. Call it £5 back then; so thats £21.80 in 28 years of motoring on punctures.

Thats 0.00213 pence per day. Good value i say

Lol, never had a puncture on my own car however my first time ever driving a van (merc sprinter) one of the tires decided to explode all over the motorway about 200 miles away from home, exciting stuff haha

    Epic post! Brilliant Shuv.

I've only ever had two as well. One was about three or four years ago in the BMW. And the other was in the early 90's in my 1.4SR Vauxhall Nova on the bloody motorway. The Nova had a cheap spare in the boot. The BMW... well nothing is cheap there and there's no spare obviously!

Loving the price per day.

I've long since lost count of the number of punctures I've had. In my works van I was getting 1 every 2 weeks or so at one point, mainly due to being sent to take stuff to the tip twice a week. Not the public tip, but the one where the dustcarts go. Not my favourite part of the job. Probably had 4 or 5 on my own vehicles since taking to the roads on 7/12/1976 on my "nifty fifty" with something like 3.5 screaming horses! I was a GOD!!!

Quite some time there Shuv, I was only a twinkle in my old mans eyes and an egg swimming about when you started to drive - hah!

I've yet to find a place in Leeds that actually fixes punctures.... 'Nah, you need a new tyre mate...'
