220 trophy recall ??

Hi anyone shed any light on this please ?
faulty rear spoiler ? Could cause rear windscreen to shatter ?
is this EVERY 220 ? Certain models ? Heard zero info off my dealer but to be honest they aren't the best .

It's on the 200 and 220, they need to take your rear spoiler off to see if it needs replacing or whether they just need to reinforce the fixing.

My Trophy just needs the fixing reinforcing.

Many thanks Mark. Really disappointed with my dealer for lack of info . To be honest they are a waste of time anyway . I have a baby travelling in the back of that car everyday. I'm fuming if this fault could cause rear window to shatter . And the words REINFORCE the fixing sounds like patch up job to me. Thank god for these forums and the folks on them to get info like this . I will be on the phone first thing tomorrow to Renault .

Judging by the info on the official RS forum all 200 mark 4's, 220's and GT's. I'm supposed to be getting a letter from Renault UK in the post for the recall.

Your right Gilmos1 , just phoned my dealer , got take it in. I would like know when I would of received a letter . My dealer is a so called ( renaultsport dealer ) they didn't have a clue what I was talking about . Said they haven't heard nothing they will take a look on computer , then oh here we are . Yeh bring it in. The guys on this forum are more knowledgable than the so called specialists

Well I have to take mine in NEXT Friday on the recall and they will have a look ? Seems very vague to me . You would of thought they would know what to do in advance of the cars coming in. I'm just hoping I don't take it in next friday and get a call saying . We have got to order parts do can you book it in again . They are hopeless with courtesy cars . Never available . Last time I had to get Traxi home from dealers then taxi back when car was ready . I'm wondering if it's a recall I should dig my heels in and demand a car . Instead of shelling out £20 in taxi fares . After all it has just cost me £22000 8 weeks ago . Lol

I also have the creaking noise !? Thought at first it was the child seat creaking I could hear . Then I even checked boot was closed properly . Heard it I few times on motorway when I have been pushing on at bit .

Mine now creaks and knocks even at low speed coming down a drop kerb to the garage. ..rang the stealership this morning and pushed them on the recall ..they said mine was to be recalled and they would investigate the noise as well... although I get the feeling they weren't very forthcoming about the recall...then again I'm not surprised. ..

Had my spoiler fixed today on my 200t. They tried to charge me £10 for courtesy car! I argued and got it for free ... Gave me a baby blue twingo lol!

what did they have to do with your spoiler mate for the fix ? Mine is in on Friday . And I have never had a courtesy car. They are never available . Did you pre book the courtesy car or ask for one on the day you dropped off ?

They said about the fixing around the spoiler could be faulty so they take the spoiler off to see if you need a new or just some sealant to bond it back stronger. It takes 3 hours as the sealent had to dry. I booked my car for service and they told me after about the recall. They said they had a courtesy car on the Monday so it all ok. You only need your driving licence and they do the insurance. They normally charge a tenner but I argued so it was for free!
