yeah I riveted it to the carpet, I pit small washers behind carpet to sandwich it, worked out alright.
I got the footrest from ebay, its a genuine Renault part

I paid £27.50 & £4 for a riveter, worth the price, I think it looks a lot better

I just looked mine up and it was £18 + VAT less discount so around £20ish from Renault Watford.

Little cheaper than eBay

I put rivets through mine , then ground most of the rivet off the back (obviously not too much) and then stuck it on with velcro. Best of both worlds!
