200 exhaust surrond

Planning a full on cleaning attack this week just need some advice on cleaning the silver exhaust surrounds on the 200 diffuser, there are some stubborn black marks/stains which a standard wash doesn't touch. I was wondering if something like auto-sol would be the right sort of product or is that too abrasive? or anyone use something better

Thanks Rick

Autosol worked for me spot on so I'd stick with that if you've got any lying around.

You can get Meguiars or Auto Glym metal polish, but it'll only be as abrasive as Auto-Sol which IMO is the best.

I use auto finesse Mercury metal polish brilliant stuff with #00 grade wire wool for the stuff that won't budge brilliant stuff

+1 on the AF Mercury polish here. If you have any wheel sealant (the high-temp stuff) knocking about too, it'll add a little extra protection from future scuffs too.

Another vote for Autosol here. Does exactly what it's meant to do quickly and easily.
