17cm speakers in the front

Has anyone put 17cm speakers in the front of the 197? Plenty of room for them?

Making adapters etc is not a problem, i'm fairly experienced with installing :thumbup:

I fitted rainbow speakers in standard mounts and tweeters as well. hooked up a hertz amp and sub and dynamatted boot,doors,roof and floor. its all the sound you need i wouldnt bother with bigger fronts just go for quality? my two pence.

I have some DLS Nobellium components from my previous car (£700 worth) so want to put them in the clio. Was just wondering if there's enough space in there for some baffles?

I have a set of 17cm jl audio's in the front fitted without a problem with a home made adaptor.

Excellent, cheers Gavin. Did you fit the tweeters in the standard holes too?

Yeah, I used th orginal tweeter mounts. Fitted in quite nicely. But before you do try the tweeters in different place to see what sounds the best for you.
