    Brake cooling

As other guys have already said about pads/fluid, and with respect, get on the brakes, get off, dont linger. Many times on track, I see people on the brakes far too long, and back in the paddock say they are overheating. I wait until I think I am going to crash, stand hard on the brakes, get...

    Pad Life on Track Days

As young Mr Rowe has said, plain disks, I had used ds1.11 but use winmax w5 at the moment. Winmax is a bit more progressive in feel, ds is more instant. For me, the biggest thing is get on brakes hard, get off, DONT linger!.

    Turbo Failure.

The 2 turbo failures were from an unknown make by looks based on a T19 on a miltek manifold/ exhaust (They have sold 960 of these manifolds with no problems.)fitted to R26. The new turbo is a Garrett T20( 250/265/275) I believe. I have heard from 3 people of forged engine failures from the same...

    Cooling help

I had the same, overheating that no-one could fix, grills removed, groves in bonnet, fan was blowing air from engine compartment to outside. Fixed, no more overheating. Obviously work has been done on your car, otherwise it would still be blowing the right way.

    Meglio conversion

I am sorry I was a bit vague, at 83 year old, things get forgotten. My Clio 197 had the 250 engine, and obviously the throttle body, with all the bits, but the 225 box, as the 250 box will not fit, without cutting bodywork. Stick with the 225 throttle body, the 250 one will work, but I would...

    Meglio conversion

You might be told...you can't use the 250 throttle body, you can, I did. Use a larger rad/oil cooler, keep us updated on your progress.

Has your gearbox been replaced? Yes or no?

70K miles, R26 running 360bhp, new gearbox just fitted. Knack is to use the revs, not the torque.

Power issues when starting car then driving?

Manual choke?. I remember the time when you fed it a bag of Hay, before it would move, upkeep was very expensive, it needed new shoes every few weeks. I remember when....o shut up Arthur!.

Keycard has to go in slot

My problem, turned out to be the immobiliser control module. It's situated in the left side panel in the boot. Follow the thick cable into the panel, the module is tucked up in there, unclip the multi plug.

Multiple electrics not working, possibly same cause but struggling to find it.

I have developed a similar problem on my R26. ( Admin please remove if inappropriate.) Car starts, runs for around 12 miles, flashing immobiliser light engine cuts out, comes to stop. car turns over but won't start.. Set immobiliser, and you get a continuous bleep. After 10 minutes, car will...

Clio 3 RS F1 Team R27 Meglio - it will be a trackcar

A wonderful job you are doing young man. Have you considered having the air filter in the nearside wheel arch?. Gives you a lot more room under the bonnet, and of course, the air is cooler. Mine has been in this area for a couple of years, survived downpours/standing water, and never had a...

    Swapping Clocks/speedo

I had to swap clocks just before the MOT, as the original were Kaput. Originals on 76,000, old clock for mot 112,000.I have had the original repaired, so will put them back. MOT history will look a bit odd, but the spare clock will go with the car if its ever sold.

    Battery Relocation

I moved the Standard battery to the boot well. You don't need a kit. Cut off switch/trickle charger hookup under bonnet/plus power cable to boot/short neg cable/ battery box/batt fittings as needed, all from Ebay.
