Your opinion of Pipercross Air Filter

Pipercross panel filter now fitted to my 200, advice please. Is it normal that after fitting a foam filter the car seems less responsive and slower on pick up? #confused

Kept all the original pipework to it? Should feel the same, if not slightly sharper on throttle.

Yes mate simply swopped the standard panel filter for a foam type, i was hoping for a slight improvement but seems like a step backwards?

you hardly get any at all, just that you have it for a life time and dont have to keep changing it,

Its probably all the dust its letting through, Id stick with a paper filter they actually filter

Maybe it was very heavily oiled and it's slightly restrictive to start with, no idea really just a stab in the dark.

You would think it would be OK soon as you put it in or the ECU might need time know its there.:001_unsure:

Thanks for the feedback guys, Don't get me wrong i wasn't expecting earth shattering improvements but it does seem less responsive. Maybe it's because my previous motors have been turbo's and they seem to respond better to a bit more air!
