Wrong Tyre Size

I've just got the car back from the tyre fitters and noticed that the Tyres are 225 as opposed to 235 wide. I think I might have ordered 225 by mistake. Does this matter....speed rating and profile etc are as previous as is the tyre make (much sp3).... Cheers

Std size on the Clio is 215, a lot of people including myself run 225's, I much prefer them over the 215's.

Never heard of anyone running 235's on a Clio

I'm running a Meg250 on 18inch rims.....hence the tyre size. Checked black circles and it shows 18s on 225 with 235 on 19s option wheel.....I don't suppose there is much difference. I think the previous owner fitted 235 rather than 225 and I just assumed 235 is oem tyre...

Just checked RS website and Meg265 is on 225/40/R18 same as I had put on today.....R19 wheel option takes 235 tyre. Maybe sizing has changed since 265 introduced

i have 225 AD08's for track tyres and 215 for the road

alot less lift off oversteer with the 225s so not as much fun but alot more grip/time

Just checked the hand book and it implies that 235 is the oem tyre size. Should I go back and try and get them changed to 235 or is it really down to preference without needing to worry about it? Should I expect less grip on a spirited drive? As long as it is safe I am inclined to leave them on.....I have changed all 4 so all same size at the end of the day.

It's fine, There is no issue with slight changes in size. Like 215 - 225 on the clio 7.5" wheels.
