Wing mirror.

Sorry again if this one has been asked.

I have a complete new wing mirror unit to fit to my 197 and not sure how to remove the original.

Does anyone have a 'how to' on this or have at least done the job to point me in the right direction?

The plastic cover on the inside of the car you pop that off and there are 3 screws unscrew them and jobs a good one

Well finally got round to changing the mirror over.
Got the new mirror on BUT I cannot for the life of me get the mirror cap off of my old wing mirror! Just will not come loose.
Also I can't get the glass out of the old one either:-/

Any suggestions would be appreciated as I'm freezing my nuts off outside trying to sort this now lol.

Feck me what a nightmare that was!!
I smashed the old mirror to pieces to get the cover off in the end

The glass is really easy to get out!?!

You just have to give it a firm tug and it'll pop off the backplate. Then you unplug the wire for the heater element... You need some Weetabix!!!

Haha the glass did come out easy, I couldn't get the bloody clip out lol. My fingers were numb by this point so I cut the wires and snapped the cup off haha.

That cover was a right bitch though.

Hahaha yeah the connector can be quite stiff to be fair!!!
