Vague Steering - Steering Sensor

Can a wrongly calibrated steering sensor cause a vague steering feeling?

How confident are you its not mechanical? Swivels / loose track rod ends etc.

Also worth checking the steering rack column/UJ bolt by the pedals.

Thanks for your answer. All mechanicals checked including rack and swivel joint of the steering column and track rod ends replaced. No play found. Should have mentioned this with my question. Apologies.

I believe it can if the sensor is not calibrated, I think you can reset it in CLIP
