Hi guys,
I am new to the forum so be gentle with me pls...recently bought my 1st clio 197 with the cup chassi...got 4 nearly brand new tyres on the standard 17" rims but they are rubbish-Hifly h805..guess the guy who sold it to me didnt really want to spend a lot..anyway was thinking of gettin rid and upgrading to some decent tyres.the standard size is 215/45 R17 but its damm hard to find a good deal...so ive been looking into getting some 225/45 R17.Will they fit my wheels?the car is not lowered.

-BFGoodrich gForce Profiler 2
-YOKOHAMA ADVAN NEOVA AD08

-Federal 595RSR

-thx for ur help..

I looked at AD08-r 215/45/17 and could get them and fitted local for under £500 (just), Camskill are cheap too most decent 215/45/17 are around £90ish a tyre (Conti, Goodyears, Potenzas, P-Zero etc).

thx..thats the thing..they are really good according to what ive read..but prefer the bf goodrich profiler 2 -have even better wet grip and are a bit cheaper( £80 each).but the only size ive found was 225/45..loosing the will to live

how do you find them??dry/wet? live in Manchester so we get lots of down pours here

Havnt had a problem with them in the wet and in the dry its unbelievable how much grip you get from them!

Only problem I can think is that they worn quite quickly but I reckon that's just down to my driving

thanks..will keep looking..btw found the thread..you can put 225/45 instead 215/45 on standard alloys...
