Things to look out for on next car

So for my next car (second car) I'm settled on going a bit mad and getting a second hand RS Clio EDC. Does anyone have any advice on what to look out for maintenance wise?

Also I've looked online and the only difference i can see between the lux model and normal Renault sport is the radio looks slightly different (lux with dial and buttons, normal with just dial) is there any actual difference between these radios?

Following that do all models have launch control as standard?

The radio is the same the Sat Nav may be different which year are you looking at 13 plate cars had a few recalls but later cars nothing rear bushes can squeak on early cars.If your going to MOD it just buy a std car but if you're going to leave it std buy a Trophy. No difference in radios but lux you get tomtom satnav rather than renaults own...

Yes launch control as standard on all cars.

Thanks Kevin, I'm looking at around 64 plate and I wish I could stretch my budget to the trophy but unfortunately that's not an option. I'm based in Manchester.

Chris, is the Tom Tom one any better or are they both Good?

Tomtom is better mate. Most of the edcs have the lux pack to be fair...

As Kev said, the trophy is the better standard car if you don’t want to mod it, but a remap and coilovers on a 200t it’s a more capable car than the trophy.

And I was thinking for the price between lux and trophy I could get more by doing mods myself I was thinking, new filters, exhaust, maybe lowering springs. Any idea what I could get from a remap?

defo this..do it the way you like it..that's what Chris did and i believe he is very happy with his baby...some coilovers,filter,exhaust and a remap..you are looking to achieve 240ish ...

Prove what lol? 240 vs 220 with a bucket load more torque and adjustable coilovers is always going to beat standard suspension.
