the steering makes strange noises when I use a lot of lock

For some reason it makes strange noises when I am at tight junctions and parking up, not always but regular. it's like a relatively high pitched groan

Get all your ball joints checked. Also check springs.

It's the lower hub swivel bearings. Renault dealers don't list it as a separate part and we tell you that you need to buy the complete hub assembly. Don't believe their lies and give RSPORT in Wimbledon a call on 0208 5420042. Your looking at about £48 delivered each side.

Had exactly the same problem till I had the above mentioned joint replaced. Just under £60 including next day delivery . Noise has disappeared now
