The change from 5th to 6th

Went for a spin tonight, and when driving 'spiritedly' and changing from 5th to 6th it felt horrible, like It was crunching in a little bit, but when driving normally at say 50-60 mph the change is smooth,

it only seems to do it at 70mph plus?

If your gears crunch its normally in high revs. Normal driving is usually fine.

High rev crunching = shot gear box.

Normal as in you're gearbox is ****ed , yes ;-)

when changing gear at any speed it should not "crunch"!!!

I read it wrong haha,

it only does it 5th to 6th. Oh well, see how long it lasts ha

It only does it at high revs in 5th which I suppose isn't going to happen often, the gear change isn't as smooth as the rest.

What do I do about repair/replace? I've got 3 months warranty with the garage, but the gearbox technically isn't broke...?

Syncro mesh is knackered. There must be dozens of threads on it on here. Do a search and it will weald results.
