Tailpipe ends

Noticed that there are chrome tailpipe ends on some of the 197s.

The one I'm buying doesn't and the exhaust pipes end within the diffuser some centimetres short of the end of the diffuser.

Is that normal or a problem or do I just get some chrome ends to smarten it up?

197s dont come with the chrome tips as standard, they are on the 200.

Some people put them on because they like the look of them, I think they make the back end look tacky but it's personal taste.

You may be right about tacky which I'm not but quite like the bling!!

You can't be anonymous with a 197 like I could with my Mitsubushi Colt Ralliart!

Like Barney already said. The 197 has separated tailpipe ends and the 200 has them integrated in the diffusor. Some people just switch them out because they like the look.

Personally I'm not such a fan of the chrome rings on the 200 but that's because I'm a little biased.

it depends..some aftermarket systems look quite chromy...or it may as well be just chrome tips sticking out...

Easy and cheap mod to do, and easy to remove if you don't like them. Simply clamped onto the slash cut standard tips. Plenty of threads if you search with links to ones people have bought! I personally like them.

As above, plenty of options available if you did want the tips to be more pronounced. I quite like the subtlety of the standard 197 tips, they sit well with the diffuser and aren't too in your face.

I have my Clio 197 and I upgraded to the Clio 200 diffuser.
