Hello chaps,

This might be a daft question but what suspension system is in the R27 Clio 197 F1.

What i mean is, was it made my renault or a specific suspension brand.

Renault manufactured “cup” suspension for the 197 (06-10)

Useful post this.

If I was to replace the springs, something like h and r. Does the cup suspension differ from the normal?

You'll still have the cup shocks obviously but it'll sit lower and it'll be firmer. I used to have H&R springs and it sat very well but wasn't a very good ride

The cup springs sat a bit lower than non-cups (10mm was it?) so if you got H&Rs that said 40mm drop, you will only see 30mm difference on cup springs, if that makes sense?

Thanks guys
So I get the drop part

Next question
Same part number for cups and non cups on 57 plate cars for aftermarket springs

Yes it will be. H&R are fairly linear, companies such as Grams and Eibach are a bit more progressive so will be more comfortable.
